Given such fertile conditions, there are a massive number of packaged food brands operating in India currently. However, Chennaibased Eze Eats Triguni is one packaged food products brand that stands a notch higher than the rest of the companies in the market.
The ideation process of Eze Eats was started in 2009 with the initial name Triguni Food with the vision to offer dehydrated foods that not only are healthy and great in taste but also conveniently packed and be ready within minutes by just adding hot water.
After a lot of R&D efforts to develop products, a team of professionals was hired and a modern HACCP-designed food plant was set up. Triguni Eze Eats thus came into existence in 2011 with the initial focus on South Indian rice dishes like Veg Biriyani, Tamarind Rice, Lemon Rice, and Mint Rice.
Currently, Eze Eats offers a huge variety of packaged food products that include Rava Upma, Masala Upma, Dal Chawal, Rajma Chawal, Pongal, Paneer Butter Masala Rice, Biriyani, Poha, and Bisibele Bhath, to name a few. Each of these foods offered is manufactured in a state-of-the-art HACCP-designed plant that achieved ISO 22000 certification in 2017 and FSSC certification in 2018.
“After thorough market research, we found that nothing was being offered in Indian cuisine equivalent to Cup Noodles. Initially, students and working women were our target customers. But today, our products are very popular among outdoor adventure travelers and airlines as well. We are the only company in the market offering a twin partitioned tray pack for exciting combos such as Chole with Jeera Rice, Pongal with Sambar, and many others, thus being the pioneers of space saving concept of travel food packs”, says Radha Daga, Founder, Eze Eats Triguni.
Standing true to its slogan of ‘Innovation in Food’, Eze Eats is very eager to develop new products as per the evolving market trends and thus sources authentic recipes from the region of origin of the delicacy. The company then iterates the recipe development process until a delicious home style and traditional taste with a balanced spice level are achieved. It also has a tasting panel that approves each product’s taste through the organoleptic testing method, post which the dehydrated product undergoes accelerated shelf life testing and microbiological testing.
“We keep quality and customer satisfaction as paramount, wherein only the best grade raw materials are used in the manufacturing process and every supplier is rated & monitored periodically. As a part of food safety & hygiene practices (GMP), vegetables are chlorinated and washed with soft water to ensure they are free from chlorine. Additionally, all our packaging materials are subject to stringent QA tests, thus ensuring complete control over the quality of our products. Going forward, we are planning to offer Diabetic friendly tasty Millets products and rebrand ourselves from Triguni Eze Eats to Eze Eats Triguns in the near future”, concludes Radha.
