Over the last year, the healthcare system has been robust and digital use has skyrocketed, like telemedicine and patient monitoring. The significant factors contributing to the market’s growth include the increasing prevalence of eye-related diseases such as glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, and refractive errors.

The most trusted eye care service provider, Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital is the largest eye hospital in Eastern India, run and owned by Yugrishi Shriram Sharma Acharya Charitable Trust, and ranks among the top five eye hospitals in India. Driven by a compassionate and experienced team of doctors and clinical staff, it is working and committed to making a blind-free society.

The biggest challenge in eliminating curable blindness is finding hidden patients from the nook and crannies of the rural hinterlands. They need more finances, awareness about the restoration of vision, and easy access to eye care in their geographies. Believing in the mantra of working where it matters, Akhand Jyoti has been working relentlessly for the last 14 years in the Bihar and Eastern Uttar Pradesh region to reach more people who have blindness.

The hospital’s priority is to comb out poor bilateral cataract patients by offering 80 percent of sight-restoring surgeries free of cost for them. “Akhand Jyoti has always been a pioneer in providing highvolume, high-quality surgeries at par with any of the best eye care service providers in India", speaks Dr. Ajit Kumar Poddar, Medical Director and Strategic Implementation Team Member, Akhand Jyoti Eye Hospital.
