Wacoal India launches a new store at Sky City Mall, Borivali, Mumbai, increasing its premium lingerie retail footprint with emphasis on comfort, quality, and style.

Japanese premium lingerie brand Wacoal has launched a new outlet in Mumbai’s western suburb Borivali, as it continues expanding its physical retail presence in India. The new store, located at Sky City Mall, comes shortly after the brand unveiled its flagship store at Phoenix Palladium in the city.

The Borivali outlet is Wacoal India's expanding thrust on increasing accessibility of its offerings to a larger customer base, particularly in high-growth urban pockets. With private fitting rooms, ample space, and built to conform to Wacoal's international standards for superior customer experience, the 550 sq. ft. store is aimed at providing an enhanced shopping experience.

"Wacoal is committed to ensuring every woman finds her ideal fit through better design, high quality, and individualized service," stated Pooja Merani, COO, Wacoal India. "The opening of our new store at Sky City Mall enables us to cater to an expanding customer base in Borivali, a market that mirrors the changing aspirations of young professionals and families looking for quality and style in intimate wear.". We are looking for further expansion of the retail presence in India."

The store carries Wacoal's full line across various lines of lingerie, loungewear, and sleepwear with everything from everyday basics to high-quality occasion pieces. Although the collections embody Japanese craftsmanship with Wacoal, the Indian business focuses on customized offerings driven by customer feedback as well as market taste.

With 17 single-brand stores currently functional in the country, Wacoal is planning to add more in the coming 12–18 months. The company aims to consolidate in major cities as well as expand through e-commerce and multi-brand retailing.

Mumbai continues to be one of the largest markets for Wacoal India, and the new store will also enable the company to extend its penetration in the suburb regions of the city.
